New Website/Webmasters

Hi,

As you have hopefully not yet noticed, the web pages have been moved to a new location. the address http://www.go.to/dutch_council still works, but is now linked to a new address: http://www.math.utwente.nl/~timco/council. I would like to thank Rob Rutten for hosting these pages up till now.

With this new address we also have new webmasters (does one have to be a master to do this?): Simone de Ruyter and myself (Timco Visser).

Let me introduce myself a bit. I am a PhD-student at the University of Twente, the best University in The Netherlands, situated in the lovely eastern part of our country (well, they do pay my salary).

I have been playing MeCCG for roughly two years. After having, in vainly, tried to get my girl-friend interested in the game, I convinced a friend of mine to try it, and since then we have played on a regular basis. Now he moved to Paris, so if there are any volunteers in this neighborhood, just let me know!

If you experience any problems in accessing this site, please mail me. I will try to update this site as soon as I get some new stuff, but you know how this goes... Anyway, to make a good start, I have completed the Balrog spoiler list.

Bye,

Timco Visser

Hi,

A few weeks ago I enthusiastically volunteered as webmaster. Since, I have been working hard on my knowledge of HTML. After my first successful changes of this website it's time to introduce myself.

I have been playing Middle-earth from the very start and go to tournaments regularly so some players already know me. (I am the one sneaking around with a camera, making photo's for tournament-reports.)

Although I still have to organize my first tournament I am sort of a personal assistant to the chairman of the Council (Wim Heemskerk, my boyfriend). - Hard work considering the loads of cards I sometimes have to carry. - Some months ago I relieved Daniel Spronk of the duty of keeping the Dutch ranking up to date and from now on I'll be responsible for the site as well.

I want to thank Rob Rutten for creating this great site and all players who contributed by writing reports etc. If you have something for our site or would really like to see something added to it you are very much invited to let me know.

Regards, Simone de Ruyter
