[Hazards] Darkness Made by Dump & Run

Post by Bandobras Took » Tue Aug 15, 2006 1:50 pm

As with any other Dump & Run, this portion is made for a deck that needs quick play; dunk decks are high on the list.

Hazards:
Gandalf the White Rider
Pallando the Soul-keeper
Radagast the Tamer
Alatar the Hunter
Spider of the Morlat
Witch-king of Angmar
Uvatha the Horseman
Ren the Unclean
Khamul the Easterling
Indur Dawndeath
Hoarmurath of Dir
Dwar of Waw
Adunaphel
Akhorahil
Lord of the Carrock
Balrog of Moria
Spawn of Ungoliant
Ungoliant's Progeny
Ungoliant's Foul Issue
Monstrosity of Diverse Shape
Scatha at Home
Scorba at Home
Daelomin At Home
Lady of the Golden Wood
3 x Aware of their Ways
3 x Darkness Made by Malice

On the other hand, it does have a point behind playing all the perms -- to hide the fact that you're building up Spawn.  In most minion games, your opponent will send a small company to a :R: or the Under-Deeps, and then you can hit them with Darkness.  Played correctly, you might be able to put a three-turn delay on a critical MPs for your opponent, since it works even if the company doesn't move.

Use Aware of Their Ways to try and hit vital recycle cards in your opponent's deck.

You could persuade your opponent to come down with great secrets buried there. Of course it would mean a sacrifice of some half-creatures.
