[hazards; vs hero] An impassable storm
Hi folks; this is the worst roadblock my mind could conceive. If anyone has any suggestion, they're welcome as always.
(Resources)
- Twilight x3
Hazards:
- Outpost x2
- DoN x3
- Peril Returned x3
- Withered Lands x3
- Long Winter x3
- Snowstorm x3
- Adunaphel
- Mouth of Sauron
- Assassin x3
- Nameless Thing x2
- True Fire Drake x2
- Were worm x2
- Cave Drake x2 (for the Bloods)
Sideboard:
- Outpost
- Drowning Seas x2
- Lost in Free Regions x2
- Ren the Unclean
- Rolled Down to the Sea
- The Balance of Things
- The way is shut x2
- Neither so ancient x2
- Muster Disperses x2
- Haven-attacking agent
- Dragon Blood x2
- River x2 (avoid promptings)
Tips:
Is clear: turn everything to wilderness and play all your ammo there, including the creatures. Point them specially to the rangers to avoid promptings. If rangers are difficult to stop, try with dragon blood + river.

Some questions for this old post:
1) Why have you chosen True Fire-drake here, and not Winged? Surely, it must be worth the one less prowess to be able to choose target characters?
2) What agent is your preferred choice?
3) Why have you chosen The Way is Shut? Any other cards that may replace this?
4) Do you have any preferred strategy for your own company to avoid your own hazard-effects (except Twilight)?
Sorry for the necromancy.

1) True fire-drake is keayble to double wilderness if DoN is in game, so it's more easily played that it's winged cousin that requires always 3 wildernesses (or double shadow). Note also how well it combines with withered lands.
2)Anarin, Nimloth and Elwen can move to a haven. Anarin has the most central homesite.
3)Against underdeep-deck?
4)With minions: Under-deep, Mordor-shuffle, shadowhold-squatters etc.
With hero: Under-deep, squatters
With Fallen: Any deck that mainly squats

Are you sure it's a good idea to play both Gates and Doors in same deck? Old Tuk wrote:4) Gates of Morning strategies and of course an early Promptings of Wisdom will do a good job.

Hi folks. I've been out of the game for a long while, sorry for not replying.
About the questions:
1) Why have you chosen True Fire-drake here, and not Winged? Surely, it must be worth the one less prowess to be able to choose target characters?
Indeed, it's easier to play true-fire, and consider the withered lands. I basically use them to tap eventually prompted rangers.
2) What agent is your preferred choice?
I usually don't play with agents.
3) Why have you chosen The Way is Shut? Any other cards that may replace this?
I've never used them so far. They are there for the case the other player plays with an under-deeps deck.
4) Do you have any preferred strategy for your own company to avoid your own hazard-effects (except Twilight)?
Just prompted hobbits wandering in safe places. I do occasionally get stucked by my own hazards, but it's worth if also the other player gets stucked and also in anger after three or four turns doing nothing.
Another comment: I don't play against other besides hero decks. Probably with fallen wizards or minion decks it won't work, I really don't know. But in hero vs. hero I've found it very effective.
Thanks for the comments, and I'll try to be here more often.

Why are you listing Twilight as a resource? For deck construction purposes, Twilight is considered a hazard (unless I'm mistaken, in which case someone please enlighten me). You list 30 hazards plus Twilight x3.
I fail to see why you did this and no one has pointed this out? (Again, if I'm mistaken about Twilight being a Hazard for deck construction purposes someone please enlighten me)
