Well, I want to be able to play with the cards too loltbadiuk wrote:Forgot to mention, if you're just collecting for the artwork the German MEAS set is much cheaper. It comes as a factory set (1 of each card) and costs about $150 or so.

By the way, do you know if there is a french version of MEAS?
Thanks

The weird thing about this CCG is that usually, with other CCG and stuff, things on EBAY are cheaper than those on other online store. With MeCCG, things on EBAY seem to always sell for more than what you can buy from other online sellers.
I guess there is a lot of players/collectors who don't know about all those online stores and think EBAY is the only place left for MeCCG cards.

Actually, with the euro exchange being what it is, it kills me sometimes buying stuff from other sellers/traders overseas! :( For example, I was able to buy 3 boxes of Italian boosters @ 37 Euros per box frm Italy. After shipping (I'm in Canada) it worked out to about $80 USD per box. Now, that's not bad, and I thought 37 euros was a steal, but still, over double the Euro price in USD after shipping and exchange!
You do however sometimes find deals. What we need on this forum is a "I'm looking for..." section/discussion area. Reason being, a lot of times if I see someone is looking for something specific, I tend to remember that and later when I see it for sale at a good price I email them to let them know. However, that happens rarely as I only occasionally hear read about people's "need" lists.

Forgot to mention - prices are also definately trending upwards for these cards. I think it's for 3 reasons:
1) Strong Euro makes it cheaper for a large porition of the existing collectors to buy cards (I'd say a good 75%+ of collectors are overseas in Europe/etc).
2) People who are into MECCG rarely tend to sell their collections it seems. If anything it gets worse and we buy more!
3) Stock of cards is going down as time goes on, so less in the hands of distributors/sellers, less being "found" and coming onto the market/etc.
