GCCG Nations Cup discussion

Post by Old Tuk » Tue Nov 28, 2006 10:51 am

Hi folks,

last night Mikko (miguel) and me had a longer discussion about how to play a Nations Cup on gccg. We thought that this could be great fun and I´d like to invite everyone in the communtity to take this discussion further.

This would be the Team World Championships.

We need 8 teams of different nationalities, 3 players each. Two nations would  challenge one round. One on one. Games are drawn by lot.

Or if demand would be high enough, we could play with 12 teams and group phase. 4 groups with 3 teams. Top teams reach semi-finals. But honestly i dont think we could afford 12 teams.

So which countries could join? Who would like to play?

Note, that this is only the beginning of a discussion, so feel free to bring your suggestions in.

Greetz,

Martin

If people are interested, it might be possible to make this event CoE-sanctioned and give the top team (or maybe the top player from the top team) a prequalified slot at Worlds 2007.

Any thoughts?

Cool idea! Is the Generell Opponent 2 Deck?
In any case, I am in for Germany, too.

count me in on any team that needs 1 more player. Argentina has only 1 online player (me)  :? , and non-online players aren't competitive at all... what a shame...

this is like a gccg davis cup, sounds nice  :D
