According to MELE booklet :
Player who took the last turn makes corruption checks first.
According to CoL :
To determine which player's characters make their corruption checks first when going into the End-of-Game (and possibly carried into The Weakest Link Method), each player makes a dice roll. Rerolling ties, the player who rolls highest chooses which player's characters go first.
Which rule is the correct one ?
Hrum, Hoom ! Do not be hasty, that is my motto.

It doesn't realy matter who makes his corruption checks first.
Weakest Links is no longer in use. When both players have the same amount of marshalling points the game is a tie (3-3).

i think it does. think of traitor:
When the next character fails a corruption check, he becomes a "traitor". This card is discarded, and an attack is immediately made against a character in the traitor's company. The character to be attacked is chosen by the player who does not control the traitor's company. The prowess of the attack is equal to the prowess of the traitor plus 10. Any resulting body check is modified by +1. This card is discarded when a character fails his corruption check.

I would go with CoL Tournament Policy. Since there are many rules in the handbooks we don't use in tournaments, like optional rules and what not.
