about playing characters
Sometime teaching this game can help you understand which rules really seems to introduce unnecessary complications. My friend was puzzled in particular about how to play characters. Would it really break the game balance if one could play any number of charcters during the organization phase, as lo...

Hi there, alhough I've registered quite some time ago I have noticed this post only now... so here I am. My name is Marc, a franco-italian who lives in Oxford, UK. Unfortunately I discovered METW quite late, and back in Italy, where there weren't that many people actively playing MECCG by the time M...

LotR audiobook? which one is the best?
Hi there, which audio CD/cassette dramatization is the best one in your opinion? There is a quite large choice on ebay about these, and I was wondering if any of you had a specific version they think is THE best.

One positive side of any MECCG revival is that our community could provide a great playtesting and launching base for a new version of this game. Old deck of the week archive
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had stored or saved Scott Mercer's deck of the week archive. This used to be at http://users.deltanet.com/~gsmercer/metw.html I think it would be quite useful to have those decks up here, in particular for beginners or those who would like to rediscover MECCG one step a...

Well, that does not surprise me... they basically annoyed a lot of people out there by banning the use of old cards in order to push everybody to buy their new sets... That goes to shows that the best strategy to keep people interested is to create new game mechanics and strategies, just as ICE did.

Mmm... I think we need to clarify a) Can you play more than one end-of-organization (EoO) phase cards ? b) If there is a passive condition that need resolving at the end of the organization phase, does resolving it prevents you from playing any EoO cards, because it actually end the organization pha...
