Actually the more common form is with orcses. If you do true mordor shuffle, you play it with by example, LT of MOrgul, Ugluk and Shagrat because you want rangers in the company. A good way of stopping those is Stench of Mordor. THe sage shuffle is usually to fuel a deck needing some extensive cards...

Also teaming dwarves and elves is dangerous due to unhappy blows.

Well, why not rename "captain of the corsairs"into Peter Jackson I?

:)

I find him quite strong for only 2 MP. He has the stats of a maia and hands in 1 strike for a wide extra range of keyability.

Got lucky....

- Saruman tapped killing 2 corsairs
- surviving cc of average 4, around 5 or 6
- 2 Call from Home at +5 and one at +6

And he made them all... not even a single roll under 5.

I'd us ethe idea of An Unexpected PArty.. all those dwarves can handily tap to support corruption. Start with Thrain, Gloin OIn... 2 rangers

New tournament format: Opposing alignment.

THis is a format I doctored up, loosely based on the pairing and playing system of the Star Wars CCG from Decipher. The basic idea behind this sytem is that hero players and minion players dont try to stop each other from scoring points, but working together to stop the other alignment from winning....
