Pallando the Agent-Killer

As a permanent-event, the next non-Ringwraith minion discarded from play is instead eliminated. Discard when a minion is so eliminated. The agent is, in fact, eliminated in this case. Minions are cards with a rusted purple background. They can be agents or not. Minion agents can be played as charac...

Incidentally, due to the way that ring tests are worded, playing the card is treated as an active condition of the test.  Since card play declares and  resolves immediately, then, Blind has no time to be played. This interpretation is at least as viable as the debris surrounding In The Hea...

Yep. A prerequisite for an action actively made by a player. Typically this involves tapping a character, discarding an item, or having a character of a particular skill in play. Active conditions are declared and resolved with no time for response by an opponent or yourself. Play to test a gold rin...

Actually, it turns out that this was unnecessary.  Except for Secrets of Their Forging, all Ring Tests have card play as the Active Condition of the test.  Because they are active conditions, they declare and resolve instantly.  Since Blind/Ire can only cancel events and not the effec...

You got me -- I really wish ICE had decided on their terminology BEFORE making their rules. :)

Yeah, one action is what I meant.  I may not have expressed it clearly, as I was in a hurry. :)

Ancient Deep-Hold and Deep Mines are both examples of a special type of Under-deeps site.  Their adjacent site is determined when they are played as a result of a decision to move there.  That adjacent site does not change until the card returns to the location deck. A similar example: as ...

TAKING PRISONERS Certain hazard permanent-events cause a character to be taken prisoner-these are called hazard hosts. A character taken prisoner immediately leaves his original company and is placed under its hazard host "off to the side." Additionally, the player playing the hazard host must take...

It's always possible.  I'm not going to be the one to do it, though, since I don't even have enough money to go to Worlds on any given year. :) As a side note, the question is not whether there are cards to counter the Balrog (there are), but whether it is feasible to include such cards in your...

When a company splits up, its player chooses which characters are the original company and which characters are a new company, unless otherwise directed by a card. All resource permanent-events played on the original company stay with the original company. Once you joined them as a company and then...

On the contrary, go to Dancing Spire when your opponent has Daelomin at Home out and he'll often burn it rather than risking you getting 4 MPs -- unless you're minion, he can't be sure you won't put down an Old Thrush or Sacrifice of Form. :)
