No, your diplomat can use New Friendship to help himself with corruption.  However, he can't use it to help someone else with an influence check.  You are much better off putting A friend or Three in the deck instead.  It is more flexible and as soon as you get 3 characters in the com...

Be careful  -  Elves+Dwarves = Unhappy blows  :? I haven't seen Unhappy Blows actually show up much.  Maybe that's because most people don't play with elves and dwarves in the same company, so you might be able to get away with it since no one expects it. I agree with Markus abo...

All the errata is official ICE changes.  You can find the official list at http://www.treebeard.com/col/docs/crf/crf.html and it is available other places as well.  There are also rules digests, which are rulings by the Council of Elrond that attempt to answer questions and clarify the pla...

An easy way to tell what set a card is from is looking at the set rune.  This is a mark on the right hand side of the card near the bottom. METW -- no mark METD -- F MEDM -- B MELE -- blank or H MEAS -- C MEWH -- I MEBA -- backwards R I'm too lazy at the moment to look up what the actual runes ...

Wouldn't it be easier if the follower wasn't removed inmediately from DI? Or if removing him affected GI? I find this quite counter-intuitive :( I think it does make sense if you look at it in a certain way.  Consider you have a group of characters who are marching through the wilderness on th...

Usually I try to put hazards in my sideboard that plug holes in my hazard strategy.  On the resource side you tend to have cards that are important to your strategy but you don't need right away.  For instance The White Tree.  Since you can only play this once you have a Sapling it is...

Not true.  There are a few other items that have a prowess limitation.  High Helm and The One Ring are two examples.  Also some weapons have body modifiers which are limited to a max value, for example Valiant Sword.

1st example: Elladan (5/8) and Elrohir (5/8) vs Scorba (3x 12/8). Prowess and body of characters and creature are normal. Probability of defeating of prowess of Scorba is 5./12 * 5/18 = 25/216 and now two rolls on Scorba's body 5/18 x 5/18 = 25/324 Total probability defeating of attack = 625/69984 ...

The actual probabilities of this situation are: Defeating the assassin -- 24.6% Being wounded at least once -- 56.5% Attack ineffectual -- 18.9% These add to 100% In addition, you have a 14.7% chance of dying, so the complete set of outcomes looks like this: Assassin defeated -- 24.6% Attack ineffec...

Thanks for the tip.  I was able to get CRF 7, 11, and most of 12 as well.  I hadn't known about the WaybackMachine.  If anyone has any other versions please let me know.  I'm especially interested in #10, #13, #14.  Also if anyone has access to the old ICE digests I'd like t...

Old CRFs

Does anyone have old versions of the CRF?  I've got version #6 IIRC, and I'm looking to find some more older versions.  If you have one or know where one is available please let me know.
