Server Downtime

As most of you probably noticed, the server housing Meccg.net has been down for the past 24 hours or so.  Yesterday (Friday) afternoon, the hard disk crashed, bringing down the server.  After I wasn't able to bring the server back up, I had the datacenter tech assigned to my case replace t...

This wasn't an MECCG booster, but still fun: I bought a booster box of Death Star II for the Star Wars CCG, and a few of the booster packs (3 I think?) were double size.  So instead of 11 cards with 1 rare, it was 22 cards with 2 rares.  I counted the number of boosters in the box to make ...

I'm not sure what expansions you're referring to, but if you mean printing expansions, then no.  We don't have the rights to print new cards or anything like that, but one project that is going on is Virtual Cards.  Similar to what they're doing with Star Wars CCG, some fans of MECCG are c...

Oh, is my new avatar small enough? I can't see it because it has a white box with a red x. I don't see your avatar at all, actually (in Firefox 1.5).' I just tried in Internet Explorer 6, but I just see the red X, and looking at the properties, it seems to think your avatar is located at this addre...

To answer your question about the number of cards in the challenge decks: each deck is a complete deck with all the cards you need to play it.  Each one contains 3 rares (none of the rares will duplicate each other), plus a bunch of commons/uncommons.  With the commons, they will overlap a...

Yes, this is a notice from the CoE, not Mark personally.  We discussed and voted on the text of the announcement before we posted it publicly.   (1) is the key to what the CoE is all about.  As you say, it's essentially our parlament.   (2) This is a project that is currently in ...

Wow! Dunking every game is pretty incredible.  Would you mind sharing the decklist?  In fact, it'd be great to see as many of the contestant's deck lists as want to share.  :)

The easiest way to use region movement is with one of the maps that many  folks play with, like this one.  If you do use the region cards instead, then yes you need all region cards between the two sites, including where you start and finish.[/url]

Just a note about Arinmir.  The folks who introduced me to MECCG originally (and still play on occasion when they have time) named their first daughter Arinmir, after the character in the game.  We always joked that when she was old enough to play, she would probably be unhappy with anyone...

Sites for minions are gray/black, but sites for heros are white, which is probably what you're thinking of.

You never get points for a creatured used as an automatic attack. Dragon at homes are perm events not creatures. Yeah, that's what I meant.  If a site card says our opponent can play a creature as a second auto attack, and you defeat it, you don't get the points for it.  It's the same wit...

You never get MPs for defeating an auto attack, so no.

Doors of Night is a fixed card from the first (main) set, so you can get it in any starter decks that you get.  I believe it was also a common and appeared in boosters like that, but I'm not positive.
